Our food and wine weekend package on Lake Garda will allow you to discover the best of this wonderful area and, above all, to enjoy it at your own pace, in complete autonomy.
Arrival in the south of Lake Garda by your own car or rented car. You will be free to arrive at your preferred time. Check-in at the hotel, depending on availability and what was agreed upon during the itinerary organisation phase, accommodation will be in a 3-star hotel or traditional farmhouse. The first dinner is included in the package and will be served directly at the accommodation restaurant or in a nearby restaurant. The menu includes a 3-course traditional tasting menu with drinks included: water, coffee and a bottle of local wine for every 2 people. You will taste typical dishes such as Casoncelli alla Bresciana or lake fish dishes such as Luccio alla Gardesana, Bigoli con le sarde, tagliolini al Coregone. Overnight stay in a double room.
Breakfast at the accommodation. In the morning, visit to a niche winery. The reception staff will give you an introduction to the pedoclimatic characteristics of the Brescian shore of Lake Garda and the morainic hills which then enter the province of Mantua. The tour continues in the wine-making and ageing rooms where you will be told about the production process from the grape harvest to labelling. The cellar tour ends with a tasting of three wines with a small savoury pairing. The rest of the day is free at your disposal to explore the area. You can reach the beautiful villages of Desenzano and Sirmione to discover their history and enjoy a relaxing lakeside walk. We will be happy to recommend the best spots in the area to round off the day with a delicious dinner. Return to your accommodation and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the accommodation and check-out. In the morning, visit to a small family-run winery. Here you will experience the passion of the producer and learn more about the special characteristics of a small business. The winery experience ends with a tasting of 2 wines with a small savoury accompaniment. End of services and return on your own. Or if you have the opportunity to stay in the area in the afternoon, you could reach the tower of San Martino della Battaglia, a historic monument linked to the Italian Risorgimento. You can reach the top of the 74-metre-high tower from which you can admire a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Garda and the surrounding vineyards.
The details of the wineries and the accommodation will be communicated one month prior to arrival in the itinerary organization phase. Specifically, you will be given a selection of ⅔ wineries by type in order to customize the tour to your preferences.
Pets are not allowed in most of the accommodation and wineries included in the tour, please contact us to check availability before booking.
